Decor: JBS Leather combines technology and tradition in a new concept in furniture leather
Coal (black), Lichen (shade of green), Moss (shade of brown) and Dollar (nude shade) are the colors of the product range that has just arrived on the leather market

Leather furniture leaves a timeless impression, sophistication and refinement in any surroundings. The offering by JBS Couros, the world’s largest leather processing industry, is to revisit a decor classic. The brand is introducing the ground-breaking range of leather covering, Newbuck. With in-house technology, the collection stands out for the ultrasoft feel that creates sensorial, cozy and warm surroundings. The palette in black, green and earthy shades conveys a sober atmosphere in just the right way.

“At first sight, it is clear that this new leather range is unique, an expression of technology combined with the most traditional leather processing techniques. And it is precisely the synergy between technology and tradition that has enabled us to develop this item of excellence, with a feel and appearance that are the only ones of their kind”, explains Guilherme Motta, CEO of JBS Couros.

Newbuck is the result of two years of studies and research by the company . Besides being made 100% of cattle hide, with a guarantee of origin, the leather’s base contains pure aniline. A soft composition that the industry calls “nubuck”, for centuries used to make upmarket footwear, boots and accessories. This traditional leather is also part of the top-tier range of items by JBS Couros, but now, in a new format, it has landed in the global market reinvented as an option for furniture covering, to be the evolution and modernization of that product category.

The latest Newbuck brand joins the company’s extensive portfolio that addresses a wide variety of fronts within the domestic and international leather industry, with products in the wet blue, wet white, semi-finished and finished stages. Besides the distinct ultrasoft feel, another differential introduced by the company with the new brand are the colors that are already on the market : Coal (black), Lichen (shade of green), Moss (shade of brown) and Dollar (nude shade).
